Picture it. United States, 1984. The band Chicago recorded the hit “You’re the Inspiration.” Admit it – eight out of 10 of you have danced to this song or know the lyrics. Or both. You know who you are (Korbie Rinehart).
When Chicago’s lead singer, Peter Cetera, penned this song, he didn’t know it would become a focus of this cheesy blog. Case in point – you never know how your actions will inspire those around you, now and for years to come. Fortunately, I’ve had some amazing influencers shape my life in countless ways and inspire many of 30 extras I’m adding to my ordinary life.
Expect a post later today regarding one person who inspired my 30b430 list and the lesson learned from her. Here’s a little story to tell you what kind of person she is and hopefully hook you into reading the upcoming post:
Influencer #1 and my friend Morgan met for the first time.
Morgan: So what do you and your fiancé do?
Influencer #1: I deal drugs (she works for a pharmaceutical company) and he builds bombs (he is an engineer).
Long story short, she is a witty, successful and genuine person who never ceases to amaze me. More to come in the coming hours!
