What do you want people to say for your eulogy? This was the assignment given to my best friend, Korbie, during one of her classes. As a lecturer once told me, “you are a brand.” If that is the case, what is my end goal? Who am I trying to reach? Do I know and understand my brand image?
From a professional standpoint, I want to be an innovative, creative, smart thinker who is known for her understanding of people’s wants and needs. A true leader who is both a collaborator and a role model. A networker who continues to meet facinating people and connect ideas and individuals. That’s why the business school at Northwestern University is a great fit for me.
Through Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management (currently ranked 4th in the nation), I entered the Kellogg Executive Scholars Program. My specific is interest in marketing and nonprofit management. Whether you want to take one class or 100, feel like your intern is speaking in a foreign language about the latest trends, need a boost in your skill set or simply want to be more interesting during cocktail hour, this option may be for you.
Tight on funds? Check out your company's tuition reimbursement program. You may have access to resources to help make your higher ed dreams possible.
I’ve taken four of my five courses. After contacting the helpful and friendly Kellogg coordinator today, I identified my last class and will officially be a Kellogg Scholar in May. #5 is almost complete!
